Educated Paston School, N Walsham and Queens College, Cambridge, where he read maths and theology. Ordained at Ripon in 1935 and was curate at St Aidans Leed s for 3 yrs, Moved to Paignton in Devon and was curate for 8yrs. Next he was V icar of Totteridge til 1958 & he was appointed Sub-Dean of St Albans Cathedral From there he became Dean of Ripon and served in the higher circles of Church affairs.Two books of poems were published, `Sharp Reflections'1989 and `Five I nstant Glorias and a Creed' 1991 `Daily Telegraph 29.6.1992'

Frederick Edwin (DEAN) LE GRICE (Frederick , Charles , Robert , Robert ) was born on 14 Dec 1911 in Harleston, Norfolk. He died on 25 Jun 1992 in Ripon, Yorkshire. Edwin was the Anglican Dean of Ripon.
[Notes] Frederick married Joyce Margaret (Betty) HILDRETH daughter of Walter HILDRETH and Unknown on 27 Jan 1940 in Leeds, Yorkshire. Joyce was born on 8 Dec 1918 in Leeds, Yorkshire. She was christened in 11 Hadley Rd, Sheringham, Norfolk.

He was born on 14 December 1911 and educated at Queens' College, Cambridge[2].Ordained in 1936 he began his career with curacies in Leeds and Paignton[3]. Subsequently Vicar of Totteridge[4] he was then appointed a Canon Residentiary of St Albans Cathedral, a post he held until his appointment as Dean of Ripon in 1968 [5]. He retired after 16 years in post and died on 25 June 1992.
